1. What is Humic Acid?

Humic Acid is an all-natural substance that has been extracted from ancient deposits of decomposed organic (plant and animal) matter. It can be refined for human use as a dietary supplement.

2. What are the benefits of using Humic Acid for Human Health?

Humic Acid is nature's most powerful broad-spectrum anti-viral. It has been tested and proven effective against a variety of common viruses. It is effective in correcting viral diseases, and used daily, it is an important preventative measure against the onset of viral infections.

It is also a powerful anti-inflammatory, an immune system booster, a detoxifying agent and a extremely effective mineral supplement.

3. Is Humic Acid safe?

Humic Acid has been used safely for centuries in some cultures, but never on a world-wide scale. Over the last 50 years, in-vitro and in-vivo clinical tests throughtout the world have proven that Humic Acid is non-toxic and without negative side-effects, even in amounts up to 100 times the normal usage level.

4. How does Humic Acid work as an Anti-Viral?

Humic Acid prevents viruses from attaching to our cells by coating the receptor sites on the virus' surface. If the virus cannot attach, it cannot reproduce. Over time, the number of viruses decreases to the undetectable level, and the symptoms of the disease disappear.

5. How does Humic Acid work as Anti-Inflammatory/Immune System Booster?

Humic Acid helps the body to assemble the sugars that are necessary to produce called glycoproteins. These glycoproteins regulate and balance the immune system. It then works efficiently, without creating excessive inflammation.

6. How does Humic Acid work as a Detoxifier?

Humic Acid is able to "chelate" (attract and attach itself to) toxins and remove them from the body as waste. Humic Acid's chelating abilities are well established and applied in several industries outside of human nutrition, including livestock industries.

7. How does Humic Acid work as a Mineral Supplement?

Humic Acid contains trace amounts of up to 70 mineral phyto-nutrients (organic origin) that are not normally obtained in our modern diets. Scientists are concluding that these minerals, needed in only trace amounts, play a crucial and hitherto unsuspected role in optimizing our body systems.

8. Will Humic Acid affect any medicines that I'm taking?

Humic Acid is extremely bio-active and it's only natural to ask this question. In the many years of Humic Acid product use, to our knowledge, no one has reported an interaction with medicines. In a few cases, people have said that the Humic Acid seems to make their medicines more effective, and have actually decreased the dosage of their meds as a result. This however, has not been confirmed by either the medical or scientific community, and should not be assumed as factual.

One developer of a Humic Acid product suggests that Humic Acid not be taken within two hours of a medication dosage. This may be the most prudent practice to adopt.

9. Can Humic Acid be taken with Chlorinated Water?

HumicHealth.info continually investigates the question of Humic Acid use with chlorinated water. At this time we feel confident that Humic Acid can be used safely with chlorinated water. Like many people, we have general concerns about the overall effects of drinking chlorinated tap water, and we ourselves prefer to use purified water. If this question remains a concern for anyone, we strongly suggest that you err on the side of caution, and use purified water. more info...

10. I heard something about Humic Acid causing "Blackfoot Disease." Is this true?

Humic Acid, in small quantities, exists almost everywhere in the globe, in the soil and in the water supply. Animals and humans have been ingesting Humic Acid since the dawn of time. Nonetheless, "Blackfoot Disease" occurs only in one location in the world, the southwestern coast of Taiwan. In this location, the people used to drink from artesian wells that contained an unusually high amount of Humic Acid and a very high amount of Arsenic. We believe that the Arsenic is the culprit here, not the Humic Acid. Furthermore, in recent years the artesian water has been replaced with a piped-in supply, but oddly, the incidence of "Blackfoot Disease" actually has increased! This certainly points away from Humic Acid as a cause of the disease. more info...
